Eugene I. Lee, Jr. has served as a member of the Board of Directors of Portillo’s since June 2025 and is Chairman of the Board. Mr. Lee brings extensive leadership experience across the restaurant industry, from emerging, high-growth concepts to established, high-volume chains. He served as CEO at Darden Restaurants from 2015 to 2022 and as Chairman of the Darden Board from 2021 to 2023. Under his leadership, Darden’s revenues grew by more than $2 billion and its market capitalization nearly tripled to $20 billion. He led the company through periods of significant change, including the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic, with a steadfast focus on team members and guests. Mr. Lee originally joined Darden in 2007 through the acquisition of RARE Hospitality International, and went on to hold several senior roles, including President and Chief Operating Officer, and President of Darden’s Specialty Restaurant Group. Prior to Darden, Mr. Lee held various leadership positions at RARE, including President and COO.
In addition to serving on Portillo’s Board of Directors, Mr. Lee also serves as Independent Board Chair for Advance Auto Parts. He earned a Master of Business Administration from Suffolk University. Mr. Lee was awarded the prestigious Gold Plate Award for industry excellence in 2018 by the International Foodservice Manufacturers Association. He previously received the People Report Workplace Legacy Award in recognition of his commitment to balancing people and performance throughout his career in foodservice.

Brett Patterson joined Portillo’s as President & Chief Executive Officer in February 2026. In this role, Patterson leads the Company’s overall strategy, with a focus on market positioning, new restaurant growth, and operational excellence, with continued investment in team members and the guest experience.
With more than three decades of leadership experience across large, national brands, Patterson has a strong background in operations, team development, and driving sustainable growth. Throughout his career, he’s been recognized as a people-first leader with a proven ability to deliver strong returns.
Prior to joining Portillo’s, Patterson served as CEO of Miller’s Ale House, a brand owned by Roark Capital. He also previously served as Executive Vice President with Bloomin Brands and president of Outback Steakhouse, and held leadership roles with Carrabba’s Italian Grill, Steak and Ale, Bahama Breeze, and Ruby Tuesday.
Patterson holds a Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a focus on Finance from the University of Florida.

Ann Bordelon has served as a member of Portillo’s Board of Directors since March 2020. She chairs the audit committee. Ms. Bordelon is the Vice President of Finance & Administration for a new STEM-focused university in Bentonville, AR. Until April 2026, she served as the Executive Vice Chancellor for Finance & Administration at the University of Arkansas, a position she accepted in 2020. Ms. Bordelon also has nearly 13 years of experience in executive finance roles at Walmart, Inc., including as Chief Audit Executive and Chief Financial Officer for Sam’s Club. She began her career at Ernst & Young. She brings financial expertise to the Board as well as a strong background in multi-unit operations and management. She also serves on the board of America’s Car-Mart, Inc. (Nasdaq: CRMT), where she chairs the audit and compliance committee and is on the compensation and human capital committee as well as the board of ArcBest, (Nasdaq: ARCB) where she serves on the audit committee. Ms. Bordelon is a certified public accountant.

Spicy Chicken Sandwich
Noah Glass has served as a member of the Board of Portillo’s since April 2017 and is a member of the audit committee. Mr. Glass is the Chief Executive Officer of Olo Inc. (NYSE: OLO), the restaurant technology company he founded in 2005. Olo provides a technology platform giving cloud-based e-commerce functionality to multi location restaurant brands. In addition to his unique vantage point on the restaurant sector, Mr. Glass brings experience building and leading a profitable business through its public offering and a strong understanding of information technology. Mr. Glass is also on the board of Share Our Strength, a non-profit focused on ending childhood hunger and a member of the board of trustees of the Culinary Institute of America.

Gerard J. Hart has served as a member of the Board of Portillo’s since 2016 and is a member of the compensation committee. From September 2022 to April 2025, Mr. Hart served as the CEO and President of Red Robin Gourmet Burgers, Inc. Previously, he was Chief Executive Officer of Torchy’s Tacos, a high-growth fast-casual restaurant chain. He was also Chief Executive Officer of California Pizza Kitchen and Texas Roadhouse. Mr. Hart led the expansion of Texas Roadhouse from 60 to 450 locations. He has relevant experience in high growth restaurant chain management.

John R. (Jack) Hartung has been a member of the Portillo’s Board of Directors since January 2025. Mr. Hartung currently holds a senior advisory role at Chipotle Mexican Grill, where he most recently served as President and Chief Strategy Officer through May 2025. Since joining Chipotle in 2002, Mr. Hartung held several key leadership roles, including Chief Financial and Administrative Officer, overseeing all finance and accounting functions as well as supply chain, strategy, and safety and asset protection. Over the past 20+ years under Mr. Hartung’s financial leadership, Chipotle expanded significantly to more than 3,700 restaurants today across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Kuwait and Dubai. Mr. Hartung was named ‘CFO of the Year’ by Orange County Business Journal and Best CFO in the restaurant category by Institutional Investor.
Prior to Chipotle, he spent almost 20 years at McDonald's, where he held a variety of management positions, including Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of its Partner Brands Group.
In addition to serving on Portillo’s Board of Directors, Mr. Hartung serves on the Board of Directors for Tesla, Inc., The Honest Company, Inc. and ZocDoc, Inc. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and economics, as well as a Master of Business Administration, from Illinois State University.

Joshua A. Lutzker has served as a member of the Board of Portillo’s since August 2014 and is a member of the audit committee and compensation committee. Mr. Lutzker is a managing director at Berkshire Partners LLC and was appointed to serve on the Board of Managers in connection with the Berkshire Acquisition. Mr. Lutzker co-leads the Consumer and Retail practice at Berkshire and has served on the boards of Aritzia, the women’s fashion retailer, Mielle Organics, a multicultural beauty brand, National Carwash Solutions and SRS Distribution, a roofing distributor, among others. Mr. Lutzker brings experience building brands and companies in the consumer space. He also serves on the board of the Boston Symphony Orchestra.

Michael A. Miles, Jr. has served on the Board of Directors of Portillo’s since August 2014. Mr. Miles is the former President of Staples, Inc., a $25 billion global office supplies retailer and distributor. He also served as Chief Operating Officer of Pizza Hut for YUM Brands. He began his career with Bain & Co. and PepsiCo. Mr. Miles brings experience with multi-unit operations, development and marketing to our board. He also serves on the board of Western Union (NYSE: WU) where he sits on the governance and ESG committee and chairs the compensation committee. He is an advisory director with Berkshire Partners.
